Endoscopic Stapling - MUSE SRS System

MUSE SRS System by Medigus for endoscopic stapling

MUSE • SYSTEM

"Mechanical problems are solved with mechanical methods" - an endoscope developed based on this principle;

Medigus 'MUSE • eliminates the need for full-scale surgery in suitable patients, entering through the mouth to repair the damaged gastric inlet valve at the end of the esophagus. It is a revolutionary system for the treatment of gastric reflux, also known as hiatal hernia among the public, without incision, without blood, and without disrupting body integrity.

Accordingly, the MUSE System does exactly the same job as laparoscopic surgery. The only difference is that, unlike laparoscopy, no hole is made in the patient's abdomen. The procedure is performed only with a special video endoscope-Stapler-Ultrasound device called "MUSE Endoscope" developed specifically for this purpose and used by passing through the esophagus from the mouth.

MUSE Endoscope is the final destination of technology on endoscopy devices. As a basic principle, the gastric fundus is wrapped around the loose gastric inlet junction to ensure compression of the valve. Thus, the open inlet valve structure is mechanically closed. This procedure is called partial fundoplication in medical terminology.

All physicians performing reflux surgery with MUSE Endoscope undergo a series of certified special training programs both abroad and domestically. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and takes a maximum of 1.5 hours. The device used in the operation is single-use. The patient is discharged within 24 hours. After 12 hours from the procedure, normal liquid-based foods can be consumed, and after 24 hours, any desired foods can be consumed.

MUSE Endoscope has been used safely since 2008. It has approvals and official recommendations from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), European Conformity Mark (CE), Turkish Ministry of Health Registration and Approval (UBB), Turkish Medical Association, and Turkish Gastroenterology Association.
