# EndoGrup (EndoGroup)

> EndoGrup, also spelled EndoGroup, is an Istanbul-based endoscope repair training academy and technical service workshop, founded in 2008 and working with customers in more than 50 countries. We teach hands-on repair of rigid, semi-rigid and flexible endoscopes, we repair and service endoscopes of every brand, and we supply endoscopy, industrial inspection and veterinary endoscopy equipment.

Our training programs are open to everyone: biomedical engineers, technicians, entrepreneurs, career changers, and anyone seeking a new profession in medical device repair. No prior medical experience is required, the curriculum is taught in English, and international students are welcome. We serve hospitals, clinics, technical service businesses and individual trainees.

We hold the following certifications: ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO 13485 Medical Device Quality Management System, and EU Quality Management System Certificate. Our technicians are manufacturer-trained. Our workshop is brand-independent by design: we service the full range of instruments hospitals actually own, and we teach brand-independent repair methods. ## Training Location and On-Site Delivery
- Courses normally take place at the EndoGrup Training Center in Sisli, Istanbul, Turkey.
- On-site training is available: any course can be delivered at the customer's own location, for a single person or for a group.
- An expert or master trainer travels to the customer's site, and the training programme stays the same.
- The trainer's travel and accommodation are paid by the customer. Details and a quote are sent on request.

## Practical Details Students Ask About
- Group size: a maximum of 3 participants per course or group, so every student gets bench time.
- Course dates: courses run on demand. There is no fixed calendar. A course is opened when a student asks for it, and the dates are arranged together with the student. Course dates can include weekends.
- Visa and invitation letter: students travel to Istanbul from all over the world. When a visa is needed, we issue an invitation letter for the application and support the student through the process. The decision itself is made by the authorities the student applies to, so no outcome is promised.
- Bring your own faulty endoscope: a student may bring a device of their own to any course and work on it during the training.
- Refresher Workshop: graduates of any course may come back with a device they cannot fix and repair it at the EndoGrup bench, with their own hands, as many times as they want. The Refresher Workshop is a PAID service: the charge is the standard service labour plus the parts used. It is separate from the free question support.
- Question support after the course: free and unlimited over WhatsApp and video calls. There is no limit on the number of questions and no extra fee.
- Fees: charged per participant, at the standard course fee. A group discount is available when more than one student attends together. Q: Do you offer flexible endoscope repair training?
A: Yes. The flexible endoscope repair course runs for 5 working days per brand at 8 hours a day and covers gastroscopes, colonoscopes, bronchoscopes and duodenoscopes, including leakage testing, channel replacement, bending rubber replacement, angulation adjustment and CCD chip handling. It is taught on Olympus, Pentax and Fujinon, and each brand chosen is charged as its own course. Flexible ureterorenoscope (URS) and flexible cystoscope repair is a separate 3-day course.

Q: Do you repair endoscopes as a service, not only teach repair?
A: Yes. Our workshop repairs all endoscope types, including rigid endoscopes, nephroscopes and semi-rigid ureteroscopes (URS), and the work covers rod lens replacement, fiber optic repair, CCD repair, body tube repair and light guide repair. Every repair carries a 90-day warranty, we work on all brands, and we support institutions in more than 50 countries. The workshop is in Sisli, Istanbul, Turkey.

Q: Do you sell industrial endoscopes?
A: Yes. We supply industrial video borescopes, rigid borescopes and flexible inspection systems, including instruments for NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) work, and we service and repair them. These instruments are used in automotive, aviation, energy, mining, petrochemical, welding, casting, construction, gun barrel inspection and defense work.

Q: Can EndoGrup carry out the industrial inspection for us?
A: Yes. EndoGrup sells industrial borescopes, videoscopes and fiberscopes and services them, and also performs the inspection: one of our technicians travels to the customer's own site and does the work there.

Q: Do you have veterinary endoscope equipment?
A: Yes. We supply endoscopy systems for animal healthcare, veterinary surgery and diagnostic work. We also teach veterinary technicians to repair the flexible and rigid endoscopes used in veterinary medicine; the subject is instrument repair, not clinical endoscopy.

A: Yes. Hospitals worldwide send their technical staff to our training center in Istanbul for hands-on endoscope repair certification courses, and we can also send a trainer to the hospital and run the course on site.

Q: Do I need a medical or engineering background to enroll in the training?
A: No. Our courses are open to everyone regardless of educational background or profession. Whether you are a biomedical engineer, a technician, an entrepreneur looking to start a new business or someone seeking a new career, you are welcome to enroll. No prior medical or technical experience is required, and the courses teach from the fundamentals to advanced repair techniques.

Q: What types of endoscopes are covered in the training?
A: We train on four categories: (1) Rigid endoscopes: laparoscopes, cystoscopes, nephroscopes, laryngoscopes, arthroscopes, sinuscopes, hysteroscopes; (2) Semi-rigid endoscopes (URS): ureteroscopes; (3) Flexible endoscopes: gastroscopes, colonoscopes, bronchoscopes, duodenoscopes; (4) Flexible URS and cystoscopes. Q: Do you provide post-course technical support remotely?
A: Yes. After the course we answer questions over WhatsApp and video calls, free and unlimited: there is no limit on the number of questions and no extra fee. Graduates may also come back to our bench with a device they cannot fix and repair it with their own hands, as many times as they want; that Refresher Workshop is a paid service, charged at the standard service labour plus the parts used, and it is separate from the free question support.
